Designed a precision wire straightening mechanism to improve the performance of Wire Laser Directed Energy Deposition (WLDED), a powerful Additive Manufacturing (AdM) technique. This project at IIT Bombay involved CAD modeling in Fusion 360, integrating a lead-screw-driven micro-actuation mechanism, and applying load-cell-based sensor feedback to monitor pinching force accurately.
